Officers

Chairperson - Chuck Farnsworth

In the years since he was first introduced to the sport in 1991 at the University at Buffalo, Chuck Farnsworth has continued to enjoy the sport of fencing in all its aspects.  Besides being a competitor and club-owner, Chuck is also a nationally certified coach, referee, and armorer.  Chuck first began to serve the Western New York Division as Secretary from 2005-2007.  This season, Chuck was elected to the office of Chairperson, where he hopes he can help contribute to many more great years of fencing in Western New York.

Vice Chairperson - Marty Timm

Marty took his first fencing courses in the '70s at Genesee Community College in Batavia and in the '80s at the Jewish Community Center of Buffalo.  Hooked on the sport, he fenced in a recreational setting intermittently for nearly 3 decades.  Then, in 2004, at the ripe old age of 52, Marty decided to get serious about the sport and started competing regularly.  Classically trained in epee and foil, but placing a personal emphasis on sport fencing, Marty is an advocate of Veterans' fencing and is committed to promoting and improving the sport for all in Western New York.
